The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a new federal free government phone program committed to bringing connectivity to low-income Americans. Qualifying households can get connected by answering a few questions and submitting your eligibility documents. To receive a free smartphone and free monthly phone service, you or anyone in your household, a child or dependent included, must meet the income-based or program-based eligibility guidelines. The program is limited to one ACP benefit per household.
Acceptable Eligibility Subsidies
The standard eligibility programs that may be used as proof of subsidy include Food Stamps / Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Section 8 Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicaid, The Veterans Pension or Survivors Pension, Women, Infants, & Children (WIC), Income at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines.
